Crescent Warranty

Crescent Housewares 1-Year Limited Warranty

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

This 1-Year Limited Warranty is provided by Crescent Housewares LLC, referred to in this warranty as “Crescent,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”

1. Products Covered

This 1-Year Limited Warranty applies to all new Crescent Housewares-branded products, including but not limited to:

  • Wire shelving racks;
  • Dunnage racks;
  • Wall-mounted shelving;
  • Replacement and add-on shelves;
  • Shelving poles;
  • Casters and wheels;
  • Leveling feet;
  • Shelf clips and sleeves;
  • Pole connectors;
  • Threaded inserts;
  • Hardware, components, and accessories; and
  • Any other product sold under the Crescent Housewares brand.

This warranty covers covered products whether purchased individually, as part of a complete shelving unit, or as a replacement or add-on component.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, this warranty applies only to genuine Crescent Housewares-branded products purchased new from Crescent Housewares or an authorized Crescent Housewares seller.

Products manufactured by third parties and merely resold by Crescent Housewares are not covered by this warranty unless the applicable product page expressly states otherwise.

2. Persons Covered

This warranty is extended only to the original end-user purchaser of the covered product. It does not apply to products purchased for resale.

This warranty is not transferable. Proof of purchase showing the purchase date, product, and seller is required.

Product registration is not required to obtain warranty coverage.

3. Authorized Sales Channels

The product must have been purchased:

  • Directly from Crescent Housewares;
  • Through the official Crescent Housewares website;
  • From Crescent Housewares through Amazon, Walmart, eBay, or another online marketplace; or
  • From another retailer or reseller authorized by Crescent Housewares.

Products purchased used, as-is, through liquidation, from an unauthorized third-party seller, or without valid proof of purchase may not qualify for coverage.

Marketplace purchases may also be subject to the return, refund, and dispute-resolution requirements of the applicable marketplace.

4. Warranty Period

The warranty period begins on the original retail purchase date and continues for one year.

Any replacement product or component supplied under this warranty will be covered for the remainder of the original one-year warranty period, unless a longer period is required by applicable law.

5. What This Warranty Covers

Crescent warrants that a covered product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship when the product is:

  • Properly assembled according to the supplied instructions;
  • Used for its normal and intended purpose;
  • Used within the weight capacity applicable to the specific product and configuration;
  • Installed on a suitable, stable, and reasonably level surface;
  • Properly maintained; and
  • Used in compliance with all warnings, instructions, and operating guidelines.

A “defect” means a material defect in manufacturing or workmanship that substantially interferes with the product’s intended operation. Minor variations in appearance, dimensions, finish, or color that do not materially interfere with normal use are not considered defects.

6. Crescent’s Warranty Remedies

After verifying an eligible warranty claim, Crescent will, at its option and subject to applicable law:

  1. Repair the defective product or component;
  2. Provide a new or refurbished replacement component;
  3. Replace the product with the same product or a product of reasonably comparable value and functionality; or
  4. Issue a refund of the original purchase price.

Crescent may provide replacement components instead of replacing an entire rack when replacement components can reasonably correct the problem.

Replacement products or components may differ slightly in color, finish, appearance, dimensions, design, packaging, or construction because of product improvements, manufacturing changes, or availability. Any replacement will provide reasonably comparable functionality.

A refund, when authorized, will not exceed the amount actually paid for the covered product, excluding discounts, credits, rebates, taxes, or shipping charges where permitted by law.

7. Products Damaged During Original Delivery

Damage occurring while a product is being shipped from Crescent or an authorized seller to the original purchaser is not considered buyer-caused damage.

The purchaser should report visible or concealed shipping damage as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. Prompt reporting helps Crescent preserve evidence and pursue a carrier claim.

For a shipping-damage claim, Crescent may require:

  • Photographs of the damaged product;
  • Photographs of the shipping carton and internal packaging;
  • Photographs of the shipping label;
  • A description of the damage;
  • The order number; and
  • Preservation of the product and packaging until the claim is resolved.

After verifying that the damage occurred during the original delivery, Crescent will, at its option, provide replacement parts, replace the affected product, or provide another appropriate remedy.

8. Missing Components

If a covered product arrives without one or more components that should have been included, the purchaser must contact Crescent and identify the missing components.

After verifying the claim, Crescent will ship the appropriate replacement components at no standard shipping charge to the purchaser.

Crescent may require photographs of the received product, carton, contents, labels, or packing materials to confirm the claim.

9. Shipping Costs for Approved Claims

For an approved claim involving:

  • A covered manufacturing defect;
  • Damage occurring during the original delivery;
  • An incorrect product shipped by Crescent; or
  • Components missing from the original shipment,

Crescent will pay the reasonable standard shipping cost of authorized replacement parts or an authorized replacement product.

If Crescent requires the damaged or defective product to be returned, Crescent will provide return instructions and either:

  • A prepaid standard return-shipping label; or
  • Another Crescent-approved return method at Crescent’s expense.

Crescent is not responsible for:

  • Expedited or upgraded shipping requested by the purchaser;
  • Unauthorized shipping expenses;
  • A return sent without Crescent’s authorization;
  • Delivery to an address different from the original destination without prior approval; or
  • Additional services such as assembly, disassembly, packing, installation, removal, storage, or third-party labor.

No restocking fee will be applied to a return that Crescent verifies as resulting from a covered defect, original transit damage, an incorrect shipment, or originally missing components.

10. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  1. Normal wear and tear;
  2. Scratches, dents, fading, discoloration, finish variation, or other cosmetic conditions that do not materially affect functionality;
  3. Rust, oxidation, corrosion, staining, or finish deterioration caused by moisture, water, humidity, salt, chemicals, cleaning products, food substances, outdoor exposure, or improper storage;
  4. Misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, vandalism, or intentional damage;
  5. Improper assembly, installation, adjustment, disassembly, relocation, maintenance, or repair;
  6. Failure to follow the product instructions, warnings, or weight-capacity restrictions;
  7. Uneven loading or loading beyond the capacity of a shelf, caster set, leveling-foot configuration, or complete rack;
  8. Using caster-equipped racks in a manner inconsistent with their intended mobile-storage use;
  9. Movement of a loaded rack when prohibited or unsafe;
  10. Use on an unstable, sloped, damaged, or unsuitable surface;
  11. Damage caused by incompatible accessories, hardware, parts, or attachments;
  12. Damage caused by alteration, modification, or repair performed by the purchaser or another party;
  13. Damage caused by shipping, moving, or transporting the product after its original delivery;
  14. Damage caused during a customer-arranged return because of improper or inadequate packaging;
  15. Lost or discarded components after delivery;
  16. Commercial abuse or use outside the product’s intended specifications;
  17. Fire, flood, earthquake, severe weather, acts of God, acts of war, civil disturbance, or other events beyond Crescent’s reasonable control;
  18. Products purchased used, as-is, through liquidation, or from an unauthorized seller;
  19. Products for which required proof of purchase cannot be supplied; or
  20. Damage or deterioration caused by continued use after a defect or unsafe condition becomes apparent.

Repairs or the use of third-party components do not automatically cancel the entire warranty. However, Crescent is not responsible for a defect or damage caused by an improper repair, modification, or incompatible third-party component. Federal warranty guidance permits exclusion of damage caused by third-party parts or service, rather than automatically voiding all coverage merely because third-party service was used.

11. How to Request Warranty Service

To request warranty service, contact Crescent before the warranty expires:

Email: info@crescenthousewares.com
Telephone: 1-800-CRESCNT (1-800-273-7268)

Please provide:

  • Your full name;
  • Your email address and telephone number;
  • Your order number;
  • The original purchase date;
  • The seller or sales channel;
  • The product name and model number;
  • A detailed description of the problem;
  • Photographs or video clearly showing the claimed defect or damage; and
  • Any additional information reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim.

For shipping-damage or missing-component claims, include photographs of the carton, internal packaging, shipping label, and contents when reasonably available.

Crescent may require reasonable troubleshooting, measurements, additional photographs, or inspection before approving a remedy.

Do not return or dispose of the product unless Crescent provides written authorization or instructions. Crescent is not responsible for an unauthorized return or unauthorized shipping expense.

Submitting a claim does not automatically establish that the condition is covered. Crescent will review the information and determine coverage in good faith, subject to applicable law.

12. Non-Warranty and Buyer-Remorse Returns

This Limited Warranty does not create a general right to return a product that is free from defects.

Non-warranty returns are governed by:

  • The return policy in effect on the date of purchase;
  • The rules of the retailer or marketplace through which the order was placed; and
  • Applicable law.

A return is considered a non-warranty or buyer-remorse return when it results from circumstances such as:

  • The purchaser changed their mind;
  • The purchaser ordered the wrong product, quantity, size, or configuration;
  • The product does not fit the purchaser’s available space;
  • The product is no longer wanted or needed;
  • The purchaser prefers another product;
  • The purchaser found a lower price elsewhere;
  • The purchaser misunderstood information that was accurately disclosed before purchase;
  • The purchaser refuses delivery without verified shipping damage, seller error, or another covered reason; or
  • No defect, original shipping damage, missing component, or seller error is verified.

Non-warranty returns require prior authorization and must otherwise qualify under the applicable return policy.

13. Shipping Charges for Non-Warranty Returns

For a non-warranty or buyer-remorse return:

  • The purchaser is responsible for the cost of return shipping;
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable to the extent permitted by applicable law;
  • If the order was advertised with free or discounted shipping, Crescent may deduct its actual original outbound shipping expense from the refund;
  • If Crescent supplies a prepaid return label as a convenience, the actual label cost may be deducted from the refund; and
  • Any carrier surcharge, residential surcharge, dimensional-weight adjustment, address-correction charge, pickup charge, or other return-related shipping expense may be deducted when applicable.

Outbound and return shipping deductions are separate from any applicable restocking fee.

These deductions do not apply when Crescent verifies that the return is required because of a covered defect, original transit damage, an incorrect shipment, or missing original components.

14. Return Condition and Restocking Fee

Non-warranty returns must contain all components originally supplied, including, as applicable:

  • Shelves;
  • Poles;
  • Casters;
  • Leveling feet;
  • Shelf clips or sleeves;
  • Connectors;
  • Threaded inserts;
  • Hardware;
  • Instructions;
  • Accessories; and
  • Original protective packaging when reasonably available.

A restocking fee of up to 25% of the product purchase price may be deducted from a non-warranty refund when the returned product:

  • Is missing components, hardware, instructions, or accessories;
  • Has been assembled, used, modified, altered, or installed;
  • Has scratches, dents, stains, corrosion, bending, finish damage, or other deterioration occurring after delivery;
  • Is dirty or requires cleaning;
  • Requires testing, inspection, repair, repackaging, or replacement components;
  • Is not returned in substantially complete condition;
  • Is inadequately packaged;
  • Is damaged during return transit because of inadequate packaging or handling;
  • Is returned in packaging that materially increases the risk of damage; or
  • Has otherwise suffered a reduction in resale value.

The amount of the fee will be based on the returned condition, the extent of missing or damaged components, the work required to inspect and restore the item, and the reduction in its resale value.

A materially incomplete, unsafe, altered, contaminated, or severely damaged return may be refused where permitted by law and the applicable sales-channel policy.

A restocking fee will not be imposed merely because:

  • The product was defective when delivered;
  • The product was damaged during the original shipment;
  • Crescent shipped an incorrect product; or
  • Required components were missing from the original shipment,

provided that the customer reports and documents the issue and Crescent verifies the claim.

15. Return-Transit Responsibility

When the purchaser is responsible for arranging or packaging a non-warranty return, the purchaser is responsible for adequately protecting the product during return transportation.

The purchaser should:

  • Disassemble the product carefully when required;
  • Secure all loose components;
  • Protect chrome and finished surfaces;
  • Use a sufficiently strong shipping carton;
  • Use adequate internal protection and cushioning;
  • Seal the carton securely; and
  • Retain the tracking number and shipping receipt.

Original-delivery damage and return-transit damage are treated differently:

  • Damage occurring during the original shipment to the purchaser: Crescent pays for an approved remedy.
  • Damage occurring during an authorized Crescent-paid return of a verified defective product: Crescent bears the approved return-shipping cost.
  • Damage occurring during a buyer-remorse return because of inadequate customer packaging or handling: The return may be subject to a restocking fee or refund reduction of up to 25%.

16. Marketplace Transactions

When a purchase is made through Amazon, Walmart, eBay, or another marketplace, the marketplace’s return deadlines, refund rules, shipping-label procedures, and customer-protection terms may apply.

Where a marketplace policy provides the purchaser with greater rights or requires a different procedure, Crescent will process the matter as required by that marketplace and applicable law.

Purchasers should initiate marketplace returns through the original marketplace account when instructed to do so.

17. Limitation on Implied Warranties

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO ONE YEAR FROM THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE DATE.

Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

Federal law generally does not permit a company offering a written consumer warranty to disclaim implied warranties entirely, although a limited warranty may restrict their duration to the duration of the written limited warranty where state law permits.

18. Limitation of Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CRESCENT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOSS OF BUSINESS, LOSS OF USE, STORAGE EXPENSES, LABOR COSTS, INSTALLATION COSTS, REMOVAL COSTS, OR DAMAGE TO OTHER PROPERTY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE PRODUCT.

Crescent’s obligation under this written warranty is limited to the remedies expressly stated in this warranty.

Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

Nothing in this warranty excludes or restricts liability or a legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including any applicable rights involving personal injury, product liability, fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or mandatory consumer-protection law.

19. No Unauthorized Expansion of Warranty

No retailer, marketplace, distributor, reseller, employee, representative, or other person is authorized to modify this warranty or create an additional warranty on Crescent’s behalf unless the modification is contained in a written document expressly authorized by Crescent Housewares LLC.

Nothing in this section eliminates an express warranty or legal obligation independently created by an accurate written product representation under applicable law.

20. Applicable Law

This warranty is governed by applicable federal law and by the applicable laws of the state in which the purchaser resides or purchased the product.

Nothing in this warranty reduces any non-waivable right or remedy provided by applicable law.

21. Severability

If any provision of this warranty is held invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed where necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

22. Entire Written Warranty

This document constitutes Crescent’s written warranty for the covered products, except for any additional written coverage expressly provided on the applicable product page, product packaging, invoice, or other Crescent-authorized document.

This provision does not eliminate any right that cannot lawfully be waived or restricted.

23. State-Law Rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.
